Dinner in Southern Spain

If you’re not ready for summer to end yet, join us for one last hurrah of summer flavors before we nosedive into autumn. This hands-on cooking class will transport you to the sun-kissed region of Andalusia. Immerse yourself in the vibrant flavors and rich culinary heritage of southern Spain as you learn to create classic dishes that embody the essence of summertime in the Mediterranean. We’ll cook tapas-style snacks in small groups, starting with Salmorejo (chilled tomato soup), Pipirrana (Spanish summer salad), Gambas al Ajillo (garlic shrimp), and Espetos (grilled fish). Then we’ll snack on our creations while cooking a second round of dishes: Croquetas de Jamón (ham croquettes), Berenjas con Miel (fried eggplant with honey), and Espinacas con Garbanzos (chickpea and spinach stew).

This class can accommodate vegetarian students. Please leave a note at checkout if this applies to you or anyone in your group.

Classes are BYOB - but if you bring a bottle of inexpensive red wine to this class, we’ll help you turn it into Tinto de Verano, a Spanish summer red wine cocktail!

Note that some classes can be adapted to meet dietary needs, but not all. Please contact us if you have any questions about dietary restrictions.
